Making Facebook Covers with PicMonkey

Are you looking for a simple way to make a great facebook cover for your page? Your Facebook cover photo is the ideal way to show off your brand, products and services. One of the easiest ways you can do this is by creating a beautiful collage of photos or images that represent your business.

My preferred tool for making a Facebook collage cover is PicMonkey. Picmonkey is a great online tool for editing and creating images for your website or social media accounts. I find it especially useful when I don’t have the time to invest in a new photoshop project.

Follow the tutorial below for a Christmas Facebook cover and you’ll have your own beautiful collage in no time:

  • 1. Add Images

Hover over the Collage option on the PicMonkey homepage and then click on where you want to load your photos from. There are several places you can load photos from including your computer, Hub, Facebook, OneDrive, Dropbox and Flickr.

Alternatively, you can click directly on Collage and add images in the Collage screen. Your loaded images will appear in the Add images section on the left-hand side of the screen.

For this project, I’m using Christmas images from Kaboom Pics. Kaboom Pics is a great source of high-quality free photos. For more free image sources check out my blog post on free stock photos.

  • 2. Select Layout

Next, click on the Layouts Section of Collage, select FB Cover and pick which layout you’d like to use. The collage will automatically populate itself with the first 3 images you uploaded.

  • 3. Edit Images

Now go back to the Images Section and click on the images within the collage to edit them. Click and drag to add new images from the Add images section or to swap them around within the collage. If you’re not happy with your current image selection you have the option of deleting unused images and uploading new ones.

  • 4. Add Swatches (Optional)

If you wish, you can add seasonal or themed swatches to your collage.

  • 5. Edit Background

Once you are happy with your image selection and placement, it’s time to edit the background of your Facebook cover and save it. Before saving you can reduce or expand the spacing between images, round the corner of images and change the background colour. When you are ready click on Save.

  • 6. Save Collage

Congratulations, your masterpiece is complete and now it’s time to save it. Opt for the highest quality settings as shown below and save the image to your computer, Onedrive or Dropbox.

  • 7. Change Cover on Facebook

The last step is to change the cover on your facebook page.
